Overview

As the first UX-focused club at Queen’s University, the Queen’s UX Club was founded to bridge a significant gap in the campus community. The idea was born from the realization that many students, like myself, faced challenges in exploring career paths related to UX design. The club aims to support students who are still figuring out their professional aspirations by providing a welcoming space to learn, connect, and grow. Through workshops, guest speakers, and collaborative projects, the club empowers students to develop practical skills and build a strong network within the UX field.

Results

Before the Queen’s UX Club was established, students interested in UX design lacked structured guidance, community support, and practical learning opportunities. This lack of resources made it difficult for those still discovering their post-secondary career paths to gain exposure to the field. By creating the club, we addressed this gap and built a supportive environment that nurtures both personal and professional development.
